Ohm's Law

Ohm’s Law states that the current (I) flowing through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the voltage (V) across the two points and inversely proportional to the resistance (R) of the conductor:

I = V / R

where:

  • I represents the current flowing through the conductor, measured in amperes (A).
  • V represents the voltage (potential difference) across the conductor, measured in volts (V).
  • R represents the resistance of the conductor, measured in ohms (Ω)
